About the Publications Office of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences

The Publications Office of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences was established in 2009. With the aim of providing the necessary operational facilities for carrying out all activities related to the publication of books and university resources produced through the scientific and research activities of the University’s faculty members, researchers, and students, the Office has continued its ongoing activities.

The objectives of this Office are to provide an appropriate platform for the dissemination of the scientific and research outputs of the University’s faculty members, researchers, and students. In line with promoting and advancing publication activities, the Office seeks to contribute to the growth and enhancement of the scientific standing of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences at both the national and international levels.

 

Duties and Objectives

Organizational Structure, Functions, and Objectives of the Publications Office

From an organizational perspective, the Publications Office is one of the subordinate units of the Medical Information and Scientific Resources Management under the Vice-Chancellery for Research and Technology of the University.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving submissions from esteemed authors for presentation to the Publications Council for consideration of publication.
  • Supervising the proper administration of publication affairs, including administrative, financial, technical, scientific, research-related, and Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance matters.
  • Carrying out the processes related to the printing and publication of books approved by the University Publications Council.
  • Encouraging and motivating faculty members to translate and author scientific and educational books required by the University’s existing academic disciplines.
  • Cooperating with other publication institutions of medical universities for book exchange.
  • Planning the budget and requirements of the Publications Office.
  • Reporting the annual financial performance to the Council at the end of each fiscal year.
  • Supervising and coordinating all printing-related affairs.

 

Objectives of the Publications Office

  • Encouraging distinguished and experienced professors to author specialized educational books and providing the necessary operational facilities.
  • Setting priorities for the publication of university books.
