History:
The Health Technology Development Center of the Central University aims to support and develop technological ideas with a focus on commercializing research achievements and creating an infrastructure for the advancement of health technologies. To achieve this goal, it is responsible for policy-making, planning, and directing research and technology in the fields of applied research and health technologies.
Main Objectives:
- Formulating the vision, strategic plan, roadmap, policies, and macro-management of university programs in the field of technology
- Directing research activities toward technology and product development by facilitating processes and support mechanisms
- Targeted empowerment of faculty members, technologists, and stakeholders of knowledge-based companies in the health system
- Creating a foundation for the transfer of technical knowledge and localization of health products using international capacities
- Supporting the expansion and establishment of knowledge-based health companies located in the university’s technology incubators
- Planning for the allocation of 3% of the university’s total resources to the technology sector and achieving 5% of revenue from the overhead of sales of resident companies by the 2026 outlook.
